TERRIBLE POST PURCHASE SERVICE - My Taycan broke down on the motorway with my pregnant wife in the passenger seat. It also broke down five times in six months, was delivered to the wrong address, and despite being reassured that "Porsche would cover it," I was charged €1800 for the car rental while my car was in the garage. I’m not the type of person who usually writes negative reviews, but I feel there are a few things that need to be known. Firstly, Calvin in the service department was brilliant—so professional and understanding. However, my main concerns lie with how I was treated by John, the sales manager. Full transparency: I purchased the car in the UK, but Porsche reassured me that Porsche Dublin would assist me, considering it was my nearest Porsche garage and the car was still under warranty. After requesting the €1800 be reimbursed John repeatedly told me, “We didn’t even sell you the car” and “I’ve already spent thousands on car rentals for other Taycans that have broken down.” While he was clearly frustrated, he never once said that I would have to cover the cost, UNTIL NOW. To put this into context, the third time the Taycan broke down, I was told the reason it was in the garage for almost a month was that there were twelve other Taycans ahead of me, also broken down. TWELVE. Legally, due to the number of times the Taycan broke down, I was in a position to ask for a full refund. However, I didn’t have the capacity to fight Porsche on this, as I run my own company and have a young family. I sold the Taycan as soon as I could and lost €48k on it. First of all, avoid the Taycan—this was the worst car purchase I have ever made. Don’t believe the “teething issues” or “updates required” excuses. This clearly wasn’t true when it broke down five times in six months with red engine lights. The only thing I expected was to have the €1800 rental charge covered. I was in Dubai for work for 7 days and missed two calls from the car rental company, telling me that Porsche was no longer covering the cost (that’s on me). However, I was previously told that "Porsche would cover it" when I asked about the car rental fees from the start.

They looked after the kids when we went for a look around, let them sit in the cars and even gave them a goodie bag each with toy 9 11's. My youngest is set on buying one some day. That's great marketing to a new generation right there

Was told to stay well clear of these guys and I see why now. Phoned and left my details 3 months ago about a GT3 or RS. One came up and nobody called back. I called dealer and spoke to salesman who couldn’t be bothered with my call. Said he would call back next day if I was serious and never did. No wonder Alan Lewis sells more Porsche than they do. Literally missed out on 440k. Stay well clear.

From the people polishing the floors and cars, the attentive ladies on reception to the amazing sales team, a total joy to do business with….and cars, well they speak for themselves 🤩

Staff out front are lovely. Staff doing repairs not so much. Had a car in for reverse sensor repair, when it was ready for collection, the reverse camera wasn't working. (I hadn't drove off the forecourt yet). Was told it must have been my fault and must have been broken before I brought it in. I told them it has always been absolutely fine before I gave it to them. Booked me in again few WEEKS later, and the mechanic realised he hadn't connected my camera back up after taking the bumper off to do the reverse sensor. I couldn't believe he outright lied and tried to blame me.
