AVOID AVOID AVOID To say these people are nothing short of cowboys would be an understatement. I had unfortunately purchased a car from Macs Motors back in July last year. The car gave nothing but trouble from the day we got it. They took the car back on three occasions claiming and promising to fix these problems. When the car was eventually brought back to me in October the car had not being fixed. I contacted Tom McCarthy demanding my full refund for the second time and was told that they were not in a position to refund me on minor issues, which I found laughable as if these issues were minor than I can't see why they couldn't fix them on three separate occasions. I eventually had to get a lawyer involved and it still took months to recoup most of my money. I was currently pregnant and could no longer take the stress of the situation and eventually agreed to sell the car back to them at a loss to myself but at that stage I was just happy to be rid of the car and them. Tom McCarthy even had the audacity to claim to my lawyer that he had not agreed to pay me for fuel and insurance swap over cost and when my solicitor stated that that was untrue and that I had proof in messages he agreed to pay . This is very telling of his character and how he does business with people on my experience with him and after reading more of the reviews on here, something I should have done before ever going near the place. A hard lesson learned. AVOID at all costs

I have no doubt they get it right sometimes, but this crowd sold us a dodgy family car. We needed a 7 seater as I was pregnant with our 3rd baby at the time and already had a 2 year old and a 3 year old. We really stressed that we needed something safe and reliable for our growing little family. When they delivered the car, it was clear it hadnt been serviced or valeted. My husband rang them and they apologised and took it back and gave it a bit of a clean. It was fine for the first few months. Then the air conditioning stopped working and it would cost 2,000 euro to fix. We constantly had issues with the tyres and constantly getting flat tyres. I was stranded at the side of the road at one stage with 3 kids including a new born. We would replace the tyres and they would be worn again within a few weeks. After 18 months of issues with tyres and with money really right we paid a mechanic to inspect the car. I know... something we should have done before we purchased the car. Lesson learned now. The mechanic was in awe of how the car had passed the nct 18 months previously at it was completely rusted underneath. I don't know how these people sleep at night selling unsafe family cars to parents and very small children. We have since got rid of the car and got a reliable car from a reputable car dealership at a great cost to us financially. As I said maybe they get it right here sometimes but learn from my mistakes, get a mechanic to check the car out before you purchase from these lot.

Very professional! After being let down a number of times trying to find a car with other so called dealerships, I managed to come across macs motors and can’t say how pleased I am with their service. Peter is a gent and made sure I was looked after through the whole process of purchasing my new motor… thanks to Peter I now have 3 very happy children that are travelling in style… cannot recommend this dealership enough!

Bought a really nice car here in Aug this year, I dealt with Peter and I have to say, best customer service I've ever come across. I had a few problems with it at the start and it was looked after very professionally, Florence and Richie the mechanics also very nice to deal with. Thanks.

I bought Mazda 3 from Mac's Motors 2 months ago (Dec2022) and since then they have been absolutely brilliant when it came to any service or help. Daniel the owner of the Mac's is an absolute delight to deal with. I highly recommend buying a car.
