We were on holiday and the car broke down, Robert was absolutely fantastic, he got the car in and diagnosed the faults. He managed to get the parts and repair in the day. Couldn’t have asked for better service would highly recommend. Range Rover should allow them to have service and warranty authorisation due to the lack of full dealers in the area.

I have had a very bad experience dealing with Lyons Galway. I bought a Land Rover discovery sport just over a year ago. I was told by the head sales man that the Discovery was a hardy and reliable car to buy. On a positive note the car came with a years warranty. The car did have a few problems. One problem was a brake calliper.. Lyons told me it was replaced. The brakes continued to cause trouble I later found out it had not been replaced and they had carried out there own make shift repair on the brakes. In January 2024 the car suffered a steering rack failure. The steering rack had been fitted with aluminium bolts, over time they corrode and break. Lyons first told me the repairs would be €2500 somehow the repair cost jumped to €5000. I conducted some research and discovered a recall for the Land Rover discovery sport was conducted in the UK for this problem.. This is a serious safety issue I count myself lucky to not have been involved in a serious accident. When I spoke with the head salesman he told me of another costumer had the same problem with a Land Rover Evoque. I couldn’t believe it he basically admitted he knew this was an well known problem and had lied from the start by saying I had bought a reliable vehicle. Little did I know my problems were about to get much worse. I asked would it be possible to trade in the vehicle for another or cash the sales man informed me they would not take the vehicle and failed to give me a reason. I tried to trade it in with other dealers in Galway and no one would take it for a trade in. I was told straight up Land Rover are too high risk and it wasn’t worth the risk for them. The discovery are known for several problems steering rack damaged, engines blowing, DPF filters blocking and gear box failure. I had to sell the car on auto buy at a serious financial loss to myself. I bought the car in October 2022 for €34000 had a steering rack fitted for €5000 and had to let it go for €10000 in February 2024 only 14 months after buying it. My advice to anyone buying Land Rover is do your research there are major problems with Land Rover’s at the moment. There are stories worse than mine on the internet. There are people in the UK handing back keys because there has been so many issues with them Lyons Galway have sold me a faulty car and I believe it is unfair that they can get away with selling faulty vehicles that are almost impossible to use for future trade-ins.

Thanks to Aisling Service Manager and the mechanic / Operator AF for making it a great experience at your garage / Dealership. My Range Rover Vogue showed me Restricted Performance sign and Engine Check light when I was visiting Galway for a clinic. Aishling was kind enough to book my car for inspection at a very short notice and also arranged pick-up and drop-off - while the car was being fixed. Performed diagnostics and fixed the issue and also gave a very detailed and clear work report.. Decent service charges and didn’t even try to take advantage of an emergency situation as I had to travel back to UK the very next day. Was very helpful. I have never been that satisfied from Land Rover Garages / Service centres in UK. I wish I could bring my car for its each and every service to their place. I wish you guys ALL THE BEST for your official opening soon.
I had an issue with the car that cropped up on the Friday afternoon at 4.30 of the Galway races bank holiday weekend. We were due to go on staycation around Ireland on the Saturday morning. I rang Aisling and brought the car in, unbelievable service to get the car turned around so quickly and reasonably for our family holiday. Definitely above and beyond customer service . Oh - we had a great hassle free holiday, 😀
