This is an excellent garage and it has been a pleasure to deal with them. Bought a Kia from Peter over the phone and it couldn’t have been simpler. He got the car delivered to me in the midlands and the car was perfect. Very decent people and I’d highly recommend buying here.

Do not recommend buying from Johnson and Perrott Douglas. I do not recommend buying the Ford edge they have for sale either. I bought the Ford edge which is now re-advertised on the 5th of October. Everything seemed good with the car. Within three days of having the car, it started leaking oil over my driveway. I rang Johnson and Perrott and spoke with the salesman James who told me to contact a local Ford dealer to me and arrange to have it looked at / diagnosed. The car needed to be diagnosed, however it should not fall to my responsibility to be contacting Ford dealers and arranging to get it looked at - less than a week after collecting the car. I took the car into a Ford dealership in Ennis who kept the car two days diagnosing it. Johnson and Perrott did not provide me with a replacement car while the edge was in the garage which is completely unreasonable, days after collecting the car at a cost of €25,000. The verdict was that the sump plug was not tightened properly and they advised the car needed additional work in relation to the fuel injectors and fuel injector gasket, the latter being quite a labour intensive job. It really appears to be questionable if a basic elements of a car service - tightening a sump plug cannot be completed before handing a vehicle over to a customer. The service book was not stamped either which again is a basic service element which was neglected. I decided to return the car as it was faulty and not fit for purpose 11 days after collecting it. The dealership insisted on meeting half way to return the car which meant I had to drive the car to Charleville Co Cork Monday 16th. I was advised I would receive a cheque that week no later than Thursday 19th. The cheque didn’t arrive till Tuesday 24th because apparently the person who writes cheques at their dealership was away, not a good enough excuse. This dealership sold me a car unfit for purpose, and on Tuesday 17th the car went back up for sale on their website - I seriously doubt the work was completed when the car went back up for sale. How I have been dealt with by Johnson and Perrott Douglas has been nothing shy of a disgrace and they should really be ashamed of themselves across all departments from sales to service in how they dealt with me over the past two weeks. I DO NOT recommend buying a car from this dealership. I also DO NOT recommend buying the Ford edge the garage currently has for sale - it needs work done to it, and this garage have tried to wipe their hands clean of the responsibility of dealing with it. Had my van in for crash repairs first met a guy called Neil what a gentleman the most professional out fit iv ever dealt got my van back in 2 days perfect job done by the panel beaters better than new keep up the good work thanks to all involved couldn't recommend u highly enough 👍
