Really brilliant customer care! Sean, and also Len, made it such a pleasant experience to buy my new car even though I had to do it all very quickly. They also gave me a really great deal and paid attention to every detail and I love my new (to me ) car!
Absolute pleasure to deal with. I had already decided on a car with another garage but after meeting Sean I changed my mind immediately. Sean's knowledge of the car, immense patience and guarantee of after sales services was second to none. All the staff I encountered were friendly and professional. We've now bought two cars from nissan fermoy and have been delighted with the experience both times! Sean looked after so well each time and recommended the cat that suited our needs at the time. Definatelt deserves 5 stars!!
I was going to wait until I was done with Nissan but now it's just too much. I bought a Leaf SVE 40kwh here. The battery died after 80kkm. To be clear the car is good and I believe that it is just bad luck. Regardless I bring it in. They do a number of checks and of course tell me that they cannot see an issue. They say stuff such as "we updated the SW" to which, as an electronic engineer, I'm a little left with disbelief. The battery doesn't just start acting up and show reduced range from one day to the other when the SW wasn't changed to begin with. So of course I have to insist. Car is shipped to Dublin because surprise surprise they are not qualified to touch the battery. Of course it needs a new battery. After a number of bad communications, lies and me almost getting a lawyer I get the car back after about 4 months. I did get two courtesy cars. One was a 2L diesel but after 2 months and 120km each day the cost of fuel started adding up. I had to insist really hard to get an electric car. After all there is a reason why we bought a Leaf. We eventually got a low trim one (ours is SVE top trim) that we had to clean for an entire morning as it was full of mould and had four different tyres which in theory is deemed to be dangerous but...well. I like to clarify this because I am now driving around cars that I don't want and are a lower spec to what I am paying for. I also have to find ways of staying insured as temporary transfers are approved only for a short period of time. This mean calling every week and producing documents as to why we are extending the transfer. The dealers argument could be that we are not entitled to a courtesy car and that we should be grateful. That would be acceptable in a normal scenario where the car is being taken care off and not sitting in Dublin for 4 months. In this situation it is called bad costumer service. We live in the country side. We cannot even buy groceries without a car. So...today I'm sitting here in Fermoy for my first minor service after the battery replacement. I came in 5 min before as I always do and I'm told that it will take 3h. Again I reacted with disbelief as I never waited that long in my entire life. I don't live here and if I knew it, I would have organised a lift. They tell me that it is normal and that it has always been like that which is a joke. I have been here before! All I always waited for was 1:30h but that involved disk changes. If waiting once longer was the only problem I had to face then I would be completely ok with it. I wouldn't bother changing my previous good review. Maybe frustrated as I am submerged by work and a phone call to let me know that there is a delay would have been nice. In the end and maybe after seeng my first version of this review, it was 1h but my happiness while sitting here is based on what I am told when I come in. After three years I can sadly say that every button I had was pushed and there are few things I regret more than dealing with Nissan Fermoy. Next service will be somewhere else. If you buy a new car here and everything goes to plan then you will enjoy your experience as I did until I had a problem. The owner calls me all angry after 5 minutes of posting this review. Saying things like "let me talk! I am talking now", "After what you have done today..." referring to my review. Denying my bad experience and making excuses such as having provided courtesy cars which in my case seems to be the bare minimum. Costumer service in adverse situations is not his forte it appears. An apology is all that was required to remove this bad review but instead arrogance was used and here we are. Edit: Nissan decided to answer my review. As I stated, I never before came in and was told it would take 3h for a minor service (on an EV!). I was NOT told “up to 3h”. I did not have my car for months and spent a lot in diesel as said. If Nissan is not prepared to fix batteries then don’t sell EVs. You are lucky that I left out other details such as a ruined ceramic coating that costed me 800€. Just don’t answer at this stage.
Bought my new leaf off Sean, brilliant service and delivered to mayo for me, I would highly recommend this garage to deal with, plus the car is fantastic 😀 👌 👍
