I thought Juan was really helpful and cared so much about me as a customer. He was really good at explaining what was wrong with my vehicle. I do not live in the county but I would definitely come back here and highly recommend Bolands for customer service and vehicle repairs.
Have been dealing wit Bolands since 2019 and always had excellent service. We dont live in the county but travel to purchase vehicles because of the value service and commitment to their customers. I’d like to share my experience with Bolands Carlow in the hope some customer service and aftercare may be improved. I purchased a brand new Peugeot 3008 hybrid in September 2024 from Darren. The sale was fine, Darren was good to deal with and sell to me. This is unfortunately where my good experience ended. I had on 2 separate occasions reason to return , 1 with faults showing after 7 days, ( the whole dash was lighting up) and it was 2 weeks before I got an apt ( which I accept ) due to them being a busy garage. The 2nd reason was a camera fault that Darren said he couldn’t explain ( fair enough) and told me to contact services which I did myself. Both times I dealt with the Peugeot service people . The first time the most unhelpful guy tried to charge me €130 for a diagnostic check? Surely a 2 week old car would be done without incurring costs. When I brought this to their attention they tried to take it off my service plan. I had to insist they take it off my warranty which eventually they did . Then I had a recall for a fault , there was no courtesy car, even though I’d asked if one was possible being a customer and left without a car for 5 hours . I wasn’t given one , nor given an explanation as to why I couldn’t have one and paid for my own taxi in and out to Carlow while I waited. Now I have experienced the number 3 on both the front and back of the car itself ( the Peugeot 3008) badge breaking into pieces. I emailed Darren hoping he might deal with this on my behalf, offer assistance in some way, an aftercare of some sort where I wasn’t chasing up that dreaded services team again. However the reply was ‘ ring Danny in services he might have a quick fix’. I would like to point out that I am very deflated my lovely 6 month old car and the aftercare I received from the garage has been such a let down and cause of frustration, and overall left me with such a horrid feeling. I never want to feel like that again. I will be going elsewhere for my services and future car purchases. If anything comes from this review please let it be improved aftercare, not just a ‘ we are happy to take your money ‘ feeling.
