Will this VW warranty carry over?
I've just put a deposit on a vw Passat 1.6 TDI in the UK. It has a Das welt auto warranty which the sales man said transfers to Ireland. Is this the case. Some forms etc suggest otherwise.

Hi Frank,
As far as we understand it, the Das Welt Volkswagen warranty applies to all of the EU. Now, as the UK hasn’t (as yet) shot itself completely in the foot and enacted Brexit, it should still apply. Whether it will or not when the UK is no longer part of the EU is harder to say, although Volkswagen should honour the contract as it was taken out when valid in both the UK and Ireland.
