Hi Barry,
This is an odd one, as Skoda only gives a fixed interval for countries with high levels of dust (120,000km regardless of time). In others, Ireland included, the belt should be checked by a qualified mechanic at 240,000km and then each 30,000km after that to ascertain when it should be replaced.
