How much is it to vrt a 2001 is200 sport from england?
Hi Ronan,
The CO2 emissions for this car are likely to put it into the top band for VRT, at 41 per cent of the OMSP (Open Market Selling Price).
The OMSP is what Revenue reckons the car is worth on the Irish market. It's not an easy thing to guess at for rarer cars, but it can't be more than €2,000 for this car really. That seems high even. If it's €2,000 for example, then the VRT would be 41 per cent of that, i.e. €820.
Don't forget about the NOx levy and, if the car is coming from England, you'll pay VAT and import duty as well.
