Hi, Seat IBIZA 2016 model having timing belt or chain? After how many Kilometer Ran we need to change timing belt or chain? After how many Kilometer Ran we need to change brake discs includes? After 70000 Kilometer ran what is the major service and cost will be come this model? Thanks in advance

Our answer:

Hi Yuvaraj,

You've not told us which engine the car has.

The 1.8 TSI engine in the Cupra has a timing chain and there are timing belts in all other engines. In the 1.4 diesel it must be changed every 210,000km regardless of time. For the petrol engines, the belt must be checked at 240,000km and then every 30,000km after that to see if it should be changed - a mechanic will do that.

Brake discs do not have a set replacement schedule. Their wear rate will vary considerably from driver to driver and so a mechanic will usually check them during a service to make sure they're ok.

Speaking of which, the regular oil service is every 15,000km or once a year and there's a larger service every 30,000km. At the 60,000km mark the air filter, cabin filter and spark plug should have been changed. If they were, you won't have a major service again until 90,000km.
