Need to change a Suzuki timing chain?

How many k's until a suzuki s cross 2014 needs the timing chain replaced

Our answer:

Hi Lisa,

If you have the 1.6-litre petrol model, it does indeed have a chain, which does not have any scheduled replacement, as it's designed for the life of the engine. However, if your S-Cross is powered by the 1.6-litre diesel engine, then it has a timing belt instead and that must be changed at least every 140,000km or five years (whichever comes first).
