I’m looking for a more economical family car. At the moment I have a petrol Honda CR-V (2006) and it’s very expensive. What would you advise that is similar and won’t break the bank?
Hi Cris,
If you’re looking for another crossover/SUV and you do more than 20,000km per year, then a diesel model would be much more economical than a 2006 petrol CR-V. However, more modern, turbocharged petrol SUVs are better on fuel too, as they are designed to be easier on petrol while offering improved performance when required. Try looking at any second-generation Nissan Qashqai (2014-on) and, for the petrol engines, you’re looking for models badged DIG-T.
