Mercedes-Benz offers a two-year unlimited mileage warranty on all new cars valid across Europe, including the UK and Ireland, under the manufacturer’s global warranty terms. This warranty is tied to the car, not the country it was bought in.

So yes, in principle, a car bought new in the UK and still within its two-year factory warranty should be covered by any official Mercedes dealership, including MSL in Ireland.

I suggest you contact Mercedes-Benz UK customer service (+442076609993) and ask them to send you confirmation in writing of the start and end date of the warranty. Also ask them to state that it is valid across Europe.

Then go back to MSL with that, the original UK dealership sales invoice and the VIN to double-check the details and if necessary, check it with Mercedes-Benz Ireland. If for some reason they point-blank refuse to engage, ring Mercedes-Benz Ireland customer service on 014094444 and I’m sure it will get sorted out.
