Do you mean check to see if the mileage on the odometer is accurate? The fastest way is to use the National Mileage Register, or nmr.ie, which records the mileage of many cars as they pass through various owners’ hands, and which can be a hugely useful way to check if a car’s numbers are the right ones. Sadly, not every car is covered by the site, so you may have to resort to more old-fashioned methods. Check the car’s previous NCT certs and look for the mileage recorded on those, and look back through the service history to see at what mileage it has been back to the garage. If any of this paperwork is missing, be very, very suspicious. Another really good source of information is a Cartell.ie history check.
