At how many miles does the engine typically die on a Mazda6?
Hi Joey,
It depends on which Mazda6 you mean, as the model name has been around since 2001. Generally speaking, most car makers ‘life’ major mechanical components, such as the block and head of the engine, for about 500-600,000km, but that does assume that the car has been fully and correctly serviced, on time every time. That said, there are cars out there that have done, literally, one million miles and more, and Mazdas are very reliable, so if you find one that’s been looked after and keep it looked after then it could go for a long time yet.
