Does my 2005 Ford Focus C Max have isofix points?
Hi Margaret,
Oddly enough, the 2005 Ford Focus C-Max didn’t have ISOFIX fitting points as standard… but they were a no-cost option, so most people took them up. If you’ve got them fitted, then you should have four black plastic pieces of ISOFIX-branded trim at the base of the rear-seat backs, just above where they meet the squabs (the base of the seat that you sit on). If they’re not there, the first owner didn’t option them up – but don’t despair, as you can retrofit them very cheaply. There are guides online as to how to do it and all it needs is to cut out some small squares of the foam seat padding to access the D-shaped clamps on the chassis that are the anchor points for ISOFIX. Kits can be bought that have the black plastic trim pieces to neaten up the ISOFIX points, and also which feature a template as to where to cut. If in any doubt, consult your local Ford dealer.
