Differences between Ford S-Max and C-Max?

What is the difference between a Ford C-Max and a Ford S-Max?

Our answer:

Hi Ailish,

The S-Max is significantly bigger - if you want a direct comparison, the C-Max is built on the same chassis as a Ford Focus, while the S-Max is based on the bigger Mondeo. One other significant difference is that the C-Max can be had with sliding side doors on the seven-seat Grand C-Max version - the S-Max only comes with conventional doors. They do share some engines but the C-Max will mostly be found with the 115hp 1.6 diesel while the S-Max was mostly sold with the 140hp 2.0-litre diesel.
