Any problems with Audi A4 Cabriolet?

What the problems buying a Audi A4 convertible 2006

Our answer:

Hi Thomas,

Not many major problems to watch for, actually – the A4’s a pretty solidly built thing. As with any convertible, check the condition of the roof very carefully, and make sure the folding mechanism works smoothly and quietly. And have a good poke around in the cabin and boot for damp carpets or any signs of water getting in. Other than that, make sure that the cam belt has been changed at 130,000km, make sure that if it’s a diesel engine it’s had a top up of oil every 10,000km or so, watch for ‘jerky’ gear changes on automatic models, listen for knocking anti-roll bars in the suspension and check for rust around the rear arches and suspension.
