There have been a few owners reporting issues with the stop-start system in the Qashqai not working and flashing up a warning in the dashboard, but in general it seems to be down to the battery — if the battery is not in good condition, or has a bad cell, then the stop-start system switches off to prevent draining too much charge. A new battery usually solves the problem.
